Come and join us for an unforgettable experience at our Annual Country Races.
Established in 1869 and with a proud history, the Mortlake Racing Club continues to thrive on the Victorian country racing circuit. With the iconic and picturesque Mount Shadwell overlooking the racecourse you can relax and enjoy the colour, atmosphere and excitement of this much anticipated event.
Our racing is that bit more relaxed, more fun, and more connected. Come and support the local community and enjoy the up-close racing action that you’ll only get in the country. Whether you are looking for country casual or a catered experience, there are packages to suit everybody!
Enjoy everything Terang has to offer and everything that our club, our town and our region represents. We look forward to welcoming you to Terang, whether it is to witness our wonderful horses, trainers and riders or for the love of the road trip, we like to say it’s because we’re “Stronger together.”
Experience the Country Races at Camperdown and gear up for a big day at the Country Races! Enjoy all country racing has to offer at one of Victoria’s premier race tracks located in the heartland of Victoria’s Thoroughbred Country in an intimate setting, with sweeping views of the course. We encourage racegoers to embrace country casual; where you can enjoy backing a winner from our bars and bookmakers on course. We also offer plenty of outside grandstand seating for those looking to watch the races from a great undercover spot.
With a nickname like “the Flemington of the Bush,” it’s no surprise that the Terang Racing Club has a remarkable legacy of horse racing in the southwest region. Designed by the same designer of the renowned Flemington track, the spacious and well-designed course is a testament to the club’s dedication to the sport.
