The crater rim above the lake offers great views and a strong impression of the volcanic nature of the lake.
Camping is permitted for self contained vehicles for a maximum of 3 days. Please note that there are no toilets on site and camping is only permitted in vehicles that have an inbuilt toilet facility.
Bank fishing can be a little testy.
Species: brown trout and redfin (English perch) lots of food means strong growth rates for both species.
Good access for water craft with a concrete ramp but more difficult when water levels are low
Bank fishing is difficult in most conditions but is possible from a jetty near the boat ramp
